For the first time in six years, Florida State and Miami won’t be kicking off in prime time.

The Oct. 7 rivalry contest in Tallahassee instead will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST and will air on ABC or ESPN2, the ACC announced Monday. The contest was originally scheduled for Sept. 16 as the ACC opener for both teams, but was postponed because of Hurricane Irma.

The mid-afternoon kickoff marks the first time since 2011 and just the second since 2009 that the teams will not have an 8 p.m. scheduled kickoff. FSU, who is unranked for the first time since that year after an 0-2 start, will visit Wake Forest on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EST. Miami, who is ranked 14th after a 2-0 start, will visit Duke on Friday night at 7 p.m.

Last year’s contest between FSU and Miami resulted in a 20-19 victory for the Seminoles thanks to a blocked extra point by DeMarcus Walker in the game’s final minutes. FSU has won seven straight overall in the series, but the last three have been decided by just 10 points. Dalvin Cook scored the game-winning touchdown with less than seven minutes to play in a 29-24 FSU victory in Miami’s last trip to Tallahassee.
