Lead Story

Florida State was unsuccessful on Monday night as a 3-star defensive end target made his commitment.

Jarrett Jackson, a 6-5, 257-pound end from Palm Beach Gardens, had narrowed his list of schools down to FSU, Louisville and N.C. State, but ultimately picked Louisville on Monday. Jackson is listed as the No. 857 overall prospect for 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The loss isn’t a huge blow to FSU, who already has three defensive ends committed for 2018 and two ranked higher than Jackson. FSU’s 2018 class currently ranks 10th nationally and second in the ACC.
