The Daily Nole — Aug. 11, 2017: Dalvin Cook Debuts for Vikings

Lead Story

Former Florida State running back and all-time leading rusher Dalvin Cook made his preseason debut for the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.

In a 17-10 preseason win over the Buffalo Bills, Cook finished with just 13 yards rushing on five carries, but did have 30 yards receiving on four catches. Only fellow rookie Stacy Coley finished with more yards from scrimmage for Minnesota than Cook.

Cook was a second round pick of the Vikings in the draft and is expected to be the team’s starting running back. Minnesota’s next preseason game will be next Friday against the Seattle Seahawks.
