It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As you watch your weekend wind down, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

It was learned earlier this month that Florida State cornerback Marcus Lewis would be transferring. We now know where the defensive back is headed.

Lewis took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he would be heading home to play for Maryland. Lewis recorded 21 tackles, including one for loss, and an interception for the Seminoles last season.

The subtraction of Lewis got FSU to the scholarship limit of 85 for the 2017 season. Lewis will have to sit out a season before playing for the Terrapins, who finished 6-7 a season ago. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.
