It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. From an athletic standpoint, it’s a relatively light one. We’ll keep you posted on the latest in FSU athletics by updating the news and notes section throughout the day.

Lead Story

After one round at the NCAA Regional Championships in Sammamish, Washington, things could not have gone much better for Florida State’s men’s golf team.

The Seminoles currently sit in first place at -6 with a 2-stroke lead over second place USC. FSU is currently 12 strokes better than San Diego State and Penn State, who are tied for sixth. That’s important because the top six schools will advance.

On the individual side, Josh Lee is second overall at -4, three strokes back of USC’s Sean Crocker. Cristobal Del Solar is tied for sixth at -2 for FSU while Corey Carlson is tied for 10th at -1. The NCAA Regional Championships will continue on Tuesday.
