The Daily Nole — Feb. 1, 2017: 52 FSU Baseball Games to be Aired

It’s hump day, Florida State fans and what a big one it is. It’s also National Signing Day that’s capped off with a big rivalry basketball game between Florida State and Miami. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

All except four of Florida State’s 56 regular season baseball games can be enjoyed from the comforts of your own living room this season, including each of the Seminoles’ 35 home games.

Those 34 home games will stream live on ACC Network Extra. FSU’s visit to Jacksonville on Feb. 28 and to Stetson on April 25 will each air on ESPN3. ACC series finales against Clemson on April 17 and at Louisville on May 20 will each air on ESPNU. FSU’s trip to Florida on March 14 will be shown on the SEC Network.

Big things are expected of the Seminoles, who rank as high as second in the preseason polls, this year. FSU opens the year at home on Feb. 17 against Virginia Commonwealth.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

FSU’s men’s basketball team will travel to Miami to face the rival Hurricanes. The contest begins at 8 p.m. and airs on the ACC Network.

News and Notes

23 of FSU softball’s 56 games will be broadcast this season

21 Florida State commits for 2017 have signed letters of intent.

4-star Georgia linebacker Leonard Warner has committed to Florida State.

FSU has added Leighton Alley, a quarterback from St. Augustine, as a preferred walk-on.

FSU wrapped up its 2017 recruiting class with the addition of 5-star Texas defensive tackle Marvin Wilson. Wilson chose FSU over LSU and others.

Behind 15 points each from Dwayne Bacon and Jonathan Isaac, FSU defeated Miami in men’s basketball, 75-57.
