We’re one day from National Signing Day and The Daily Nole is here to help you get there. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

After months of waiting, Florida State wide receiver Kermit Whitfield has finally got his invitation to the NFL Combine.

Known for his speed, Whitfield finished with 1,193 yards receiving over his final two years at FSU. Whitfield was also used as a rusher and a kickoff returner and finishes his career with 12 career touchdowns, including a 100-yard kickoff return against Auburn in the 2014 BCS National Championship.

A former track star for the Seminoles, some have speculated that Whitfield could break the combine record for fastest time in the 40-yard dash. The NFL Combine will be held from Feb. 28 until March 6 in Indianapolis.
