It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans and with it, comes a quiet day in FSU athletics. We’ll keep you up to date with what you need to know by maintaining the news and notes section throughout the day.

Florida State freshman forward Jonathan Isaac not only won ACC Freshman of the Week honors on Monday, but he was named National Player of the Week by the NCAA.
In victories over ranked teams in Notre Dame and Louisville last week, Isaac was unstoppable, averaging 19.5 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 blocks over the two games. Against Notre Dame last week, Isaac finished with a career-high 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks. The 6-10 freshman followed that up with 16 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday’s 73-68 victory over the Cardinals.
During the 2-game stretch, Isaac was also incredibly efficient, shooting 69 percent from the field, 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc and a perfect 14-for-14 from the charity stripe. Isaac will look to notch his fourth straight double-double on Wednesday as the Seminoles visit Georgia Tech.

News and Notes
Former FSU forward Okaro White scored his first NBA points on Monday night for the Miami Heat in a 105-102 win over the Golden State Warriors. White was 2-for-3 from the field with five points and a rebound.
FSU’s Dwayne Bacon and Jonathan Isaac were each named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association watch lists. Bacon was named to the Oscar Robertson Award watch list, which goes to the nation’s best player. Isaac was named to the Wayman Tisdale watch list for the nation’s top freshmen.
Isaac was also named Naismith Trophy Player of the Week.
The ACC will release the 2017 conference football schedule at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday.
