Florida State has been picked by the conference’s coaches to finish as runner-up in the ACC this coming volleyball season, according to Friday press release from the ACC.

The Seminoles finished 25-8 a season ago before falling to rival Florida in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. North Carolina was picked to win the conference with 194 total votes out of a possible 196. FSU wasn’t far behind with 182.

Outside hitters Katie Horton, a senior, and junior Milica Kubura were each named to the preseason all-conference team. Only reigning conference champion Louisville had more All-ACC selections from the coaches.

The Seminoles will play their intrasquad Garnet and Gold match on Aug. 20. Florida State opens the season at UCF on Aug. 27.
