Lead Story

Florida State softball pitcher and Women’s College World Series hero Meghan King is picking up in 2019 where she left off in 2018.

The redshirt senior was named the ACC’s Co-Pitcher of the Week after throwing a pair of shutouts in the JoAnne Graf Classic last weekend to open the season. King allowed just five hits and two walks in 14 innings while striking out 15 in two starts against Iowa State.

King shared the honor with Virginia Tech’s Keely Rochard. King will need to be on her game this weekend as FSU plays in the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational.

Between the Lines

FSU hoops handled Wake Forest on Wednesday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center, 88-66.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s hoops will be at Clemson on Thursday night. The contest begins at 7 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

Wide receiver George Campbell will reportedly not return to FSU for a redshirt senior season.

FSU offensive lineman Landon Dickerson has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
