One week in the ACC, one ACC Rookie of the Week honor.

That’s the case for FSU women’s basketball forward Valencia Myers, who earned the honor after solid performances in her first three games in garnet and gold. In wins over Troy, North Florida and Florida, Myers averaged 13.3 points on 54 percent shooting, 8.7 rebounds and three blocks.

A 6-foot-3 freshman from Ohio, Myers scored in double-figures in each of her first three games, including 17 against Troy in her debut. Up next for FSU is a home contest with Jacksonville on Thursday.

FSU softball will host a garnet and gold scrimmage and take on Chipola College on Wednesday.
