Florida State football has officially named Alex Atkins its new offensive coordinator.

The former offensive line coach, Atkins replaces Kenny Dillingham who left to take the same job at Oregon. Atkins has proven to be an outstanding position coach and an excellent recruiter.

Atkins has been a member of the FSU staff since 2020 when head coach Mike Norvell took over. Prior to coming to Tallahassee, Atkins served as offensive line coach at Charlotte, Tulane, Georgia Southern and Chattanooga. Atkins was a big reason why the Seminoles finished the Early Signing Period with a top-15 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

FSU women’s hoops was defeated by Houston on Thursday night, 78-68.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.
