It took just 28 seconds for Florida State women’s hoops to go ahead for good on Sunday as the Seminoles blasted Charleston Southern at the Donald L. Tucker Center, 83-32.

It was domination from the start on Sunday. FSU held Charleston Southern to just 23% shooting from the field and held a 31-rebound advantage. In total, 13 different players scored for FSU.

Morgan Jones paced Florida State with 16 points. Valencia Myers and River Baldwin added 15 and 13 points, respectively, in the win. Skylar Baltezegar led the Buccaneers with eight points in the loss.

With the win, FSU improves to 6-2 overall and has now won two straight. FSU will have a week off before visiting rival Florida.

Between the Lines

FSU’s women’s hoops victory was the lone scheduled athletic event for Sunday.

On the Agenda

FSU soccer will take on BYU for the national championship on Monday night. The contest begins at 8 p.m. ET and airs on ESPNU.

FSU football tight end Carter Boatwright has entered the transfer portal.

FSU football quarterback McKenzie Milton will play in the Hula Bowl on Jan. 15 at UCF.
