Happy hump day, Florida State fans.

As your week heads downhill, check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

Florida State football has a relatively deep running backs room, but it recently got a little thinner.

According to reports, Deonte Sheffield has entered the transfer portal and is no longer with the program. Originally a preferred walk-on, Sheffield was eventually granted a scholarship and made some impact during his time in Tallahassee.

Largely a special teamer, Sheffield did finish with 137 rushing yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. The bulk of his production came in the 2019 Sun Bowl where he ran for a game-high 87 yards in a 20-14 loss to Arizona State.
