CHAMPIONSHIP ALERT! FSU Men’s Track and Field 3-Peats as ACC Indoor Champions

For the third straight season, Florida State’s men have claimed the ACC track and field indoor championship.

Over three days in South Bend, FSU finished with 140 points. Virginia Tech was second with 109 points, followed by Virginia, Notre Dame and North Carolina.

The Florida State men set the tone early Friday afternoon by having the top four finishers in the long jump. Fabian Edoki won ACC gold in the event, followed by teammates Isaac Grimes, Jeremiah Davis and Darius Clark. In the 60-meter hurdles to kick off Saturday, FSU claimed the top three spots with Trey Cunningham, Caleb Parker and Braxton Canady finishing first, second and third.

Kasey Knevelbaard claimed bronze in the 1-mile run on the men’s side. DaeQwan Butler took second place in the men’s 400 meters. In the men’s shot put, Sanjae Lawrence and Milton Ingraham finished second and third.

Jhevaughn Matherson finished third in the men’s 60 meters. Matherson also finishes second in the 200 meters.

FSU took silver in the 4-by-400-meter relay.

The FSU women finished sixth. Virginia Tech took the team title, followed by Miami, Notre Dame, Clemson and Duke.

The first victory for the Seminoles came on Saturday in the 60 meters as Ka’Tia Seymour claimed the title. Seymour also took first place in the 200 meters.

On the women’s side, Maudie Skyring claimed second in the 1-mile run. The Seminoles took bronze in the 4-by-400-meter relay.

Trentorria Green took second place in the triple jump.
