In a year commemorating 50 years of Florida State women’s athletics, Saturday was a day to remember.

After FSU softball won its sixth straight ACC Tournament title earlier in the day, FSU women’s track and field claimed its first ACC outdoor crown since 2016.

The Florida State women dominated, finishing with 164 points. Miami finished in second place with 92.5 total points.

Individual ACC champions for FSU included Cortney Jones (100-meter hurdles), Ka’Tia Seymour (100 meters and 200 meters), Shanice Love (discus) and Rougui Sow (long jump). FSU found itself in first place after each of the three days of the championship.

On the men’s side, FSU finished in third place. The Seminoles finished with 102.5 total points. Virginia won the ACC title with 123 total points.

The FSU men finished first place as a team in the 4-by-100 meter relay. The individual champion on the men’s side was senior sprinter Andre Ewers (100 meters and 200 meters).

FSU won the men’s outdoor championship last year and shared the indoor title earlier this year. The NCAA Championships begin June 5 in Austin.
