Newly-hired wide receivers coach Ron Dugans and long-time defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins are now the only coaches on staff to have played at Florida State.

First reported by NoleGameday and later confirmed by FSU head coach Willie Taggart, offensive line coach Greg Frey has been relieved of his duties. A 3-year letterman, Frey played at FSU from 1991-95.

Frey’s stay at FSU as offensive line coach will have lasted just one season. FSU was dismal at the position in 2018 and were among the worst Power 5 offenses in the country.

As previously reported, former Houston offensive line coach Randy Clements is expected to join new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles in Tallahassee. Prior to coming to Florida State, Frey coached at South Florida, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia.
