The Daily Nole — Jan. 20, 2019: FSU’s Christmas to Play in Senior Bowl

It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As many of you prepare to enjoy a long weekend, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State redshirt senior Demarcus Christmas will get to don an FSU helmet one more time.

Christmas has been selected to participate in the Senior Bowl on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama. The contest begins at 2:30 p.m. EST and airs on NFL Network.

A 3-year starter, Christmas recorded 28 tackles and three for loss last season. Christmas was added to the roster on Saturday night.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Saturday.

On the Agenda

FSU tennis will take on California in Lake Nona while the women host UCF on Sunday. FSU men’s basketball will visit Boston College at 12 p.m. EST in a contest that airs on ESPNU. FSU women’s hoops hosts Duke at 2 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU center Alec Eberle participated in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday.

FSU quarterback James Blackman has reportedly not entered the NCAA transfer portal.
