The Daily Nole — July 4, 2018: XRM Kicks Off Summer League Action for Former Noles

Lead Story

Six former Florida State players will compete in the NBA Summer League, but only one has been in action to this point.

Guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes has appeared in two games for the Los Angeles Lakers. Over those two contests against the Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat, Rathan-Mayes has averaged 7.5 points and 8.5 assists.

After going undrafted, Rathan-Mayes appeared in five games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, averaging 5.8 points and 3.6 assists. Rathan-Mayes had 12 assists in a loss to the Kings.

Other former FSU players who will play in the NBA Summer League include the Orlando Magic’s Braian Angola and Jonathan Isaac, Dwayne Bacon of the Charlotte Hornets, the Denver Nuggets’ Malik Beasley and Okaro White of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
