Florida State beach volleyball was rewarded for a third straight CCSA title with a spot in the NCAA Championships.

The Seminoles will be the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament, which gets underway on Friday in Gulf Shores, Alabama. FSU kicks the double-elimination championships off against fifth-seeded and 2-time defending national champion USC on Friday.

Joining the Seminoles and Women of Troy in Alabama will be top-seeded UCLA, followed by No. 2 seed Pepperdine and third-seeded Hawaii. The other three teams making the championships were South Carolina, the No. 6 seed, No. 7 seed LSU and finally, eighth-seeded Florida International.

Florida State enters the NCAA Tournament with a record of 30-6 and on an 18-game winning streak. In Cartersville, Georgia last weekend, the Seminoles went a perfect 6-0 and lost just one total duel to claim the CCSA crown.

After falling to USC in the national championship match two years ago, the Seminoles were one of the final four teams standing, but fell to Hawaii in a thrilling 3-2 contest. This year’s championships will air on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.
