FSU Baseball Picked to Win ACC in 2018

The 14 head baseball coaches that make up the Atlantic Coast Conference have issued their predictions and Florida State is the 2018 favorite to claim the conference.

FSU has won the ACC Tournament in two of the previous three seasons, despite just a 14-14 finish in conference last year. The Seminoles went a perfect 4-0 in Louisville, beating Notre Dame, Louisville, Duke and North Carolina.

FSU returns virtually all of its key arms, minus closer Drew Carlton. Tyler Holton is the ace of the staff while Jackson Lueck, Cal Raleigh and Drew Mendoza should make for a potent lineup.

The Seminoles received 13 of 14 votes to win the Atlantic division with fifth-place Wake Forest receiving the other. FSU also got 10 of the 14 votes to win the conference. Projected Coastal division champion North Carolina earned three votes and Wake Forest got one.

The Tar Heels received 12 of a possible 14 votes to win the Coastal. The other two went to Virginia.
