It’s Monday, Florida State fans. Hopefully everyone is having a good day after enjoying the big game. We’ll keep you up on the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State women’s basketball was able to rally on Sunday for a 66-59 win over Pittsburgh and in the process, one FSU player made history.

Senior guard Imani Wright broke an FSU school-record for 3-pointers made in a season with her 79th make with just over two minutes to play in the game. It was an otherwise pedestrian day for Wright, who scored 14 points, but on just 4-for-17 shooting and 2 of 12 from deep.

It was A.J. Alix who paced the Seminoles with 25 points and a 7-for-9 day from deep. The previous FSU record for 3-pointers in a season was held by Courtney Ward with 78 during the 2010-11 season.

Between the Lines

In addition to FSU’s women’s basketball victory, FSU swimming and diving wrapped up the Auburn Invite on Sunday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.
