Lead Story

After notching its largest win ever in Gainesville earlier in the season, Florida State women’s basketball collected its largest margin of victory against another rival on Thursday night.

The Seminoles responded from their first loss on the season by topping Miami, 105-67. FSU shot 56 percent from the field and led by as many as 45 points in the win.

Nausia Woolfolk scored 23 points to lead six FSU players in double-figures. Shakayla Thomas and Chatrice White each led FSU with eight rebounds while A.J. Alix dished out a game-high six assists. Endia Banks finished with 14 points and six rebounds to lead Miami.

With the victory, FSU improved to 15-2 and 3-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles will be in action again on Sunday as they host Virginia Tech.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s hoops was the only scheduled event for Thursday.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis takes on Utah in Hawaii on Friday. FSU swimming and diving will host Alabama.

News and Notes

FSU is currently a No. 8 seed, according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.
