It looks as though the defensive side of the football as far as staff changes goes is complete for Florida State.

According to a report from Tomahawk Nation Alonzo Hampton will join new head coach Willie Taggart’s staff as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator. Hampton worked with Taggart at South Florida and most recently as a defensive analyst at Oregon.

Hampton joins an FSU defensive staff, which includes coordinator Harlon Barnett, linebackers coach Raymond Woodie and incumbent defensive line coach Odell Haggins. Hampton is the fourth staff member to follow Taggart from Eugene, joining Woodie, running backs coach Donte’ Pimpleton and David Kelly.

With 10 available staff openings, seven have now been filled. FSU still has coaching voids to fill at quarterback and wide receiver. It will look to add one more assistant, possibly on defense.
