It’s the weekend, Florida State fans, and a Merry Christmas Eve Eve. As your day goes on, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

The 3-day early signing period lasted from Wednesday through Friday and Florida State came out of it in pretty good shape.

The big news was the addition of 5-star safety Jaiden Woodbey on Wednesday night after losing Rosendo Louis earlier in the day. On Friday, the Seminoles got 4-star cornerback and former FSU commit Isaiah Bolden to sign. Bolden flipped from FSU to Oregon in April, but changed back after Willie Taggart left Eugene for Tallahassee.

In addition to the pair of blue-chip defensive backs who committed, the Seminoles signed five previously committed players. They are 4-star cornerbacks Anthony Lytton and Asante Samuel, Jr., 4-star defensive tackle Robert Cooper, 4-star linebacker Amari Gainer and 3-star tackle Christian Armstrong.

Only three commitments for FSU remain unsigned. They are 4-star guard Christian Meadows, 4-star receiver D’Marcus Adams and 3-star defensive end Chaz Neal.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.
