Florida State will be idle for a while on the gridiron, but the Seminoles remain a top-10 team — at least in one poll.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, FSU fell one spot to No. 10. The Seminoles were ninth last week.

In the AP Poll, the Seminoles also fell one spot from 10th to 11th.

Alabama continued to top both polls. Reigning national champion Clemson was No. 2 in the Coaches Poll while Oklahoma assumed that spot in the AP Poll after beating previous No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday, 31-16. The Tigers were third in the AP Poll and the Sooners were third in the Coaches Poll.

Rounding out the top 5 in the Coaches Poll were USC and Penn State. Washington and Michigan were No. 6 and 7, respectively in each poll. Ohio State was eighth in the AP Poll and ninth in the Coaches Poll. Oklahoma State was flip-flopped with the Buckeyes in each poll. Wisconsin was No. 10 in the AP Poll.

FSU was scheduled to take on Louisiana-Monroe this week, but the contest was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. The Seminoles will also not play Miami next week because of the storm.

Miami is ranked No. 15 in the Coaches Poll, sandwiched around fellow ACC schools, Louisville at No. 14 in each poll and Virginia Tech, who was 16th in both polls. Miami was No. 17 in the AP Poll.
