The younger brother of Florida State’s all-time leading rusher may not be following in his older brother’s footsteps.

James Cook, a 4-star running back from Miami and the younger brother of former FSU All-American Dalvin Cook, announced his decommitment on Tuesday. Cook is listed at 6-0 and more than 180 pounds. Cook has been trending to Georgia of late.

Cook was FSU’s second highest ranked FSU commitment behind only 4-star cornerback Anthony Lytton. Cook was listed as the No. 33 overall prospect for 2018 and the third best back, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Seminoles entered the day with the No. 10 overall class for 2018 and the third best in the ACC. The loss of Cook drops FSU to No. 14 overall.
