On July 4, Florida State saw plenty of fireworks on the recruiting trail. After losing 4-star running back James Cook less than an hour earlier, FSU got some good news with the addition of a 3-star wide receiver.

Antoine Green, a 6-2 and 195-pound target from Rockledge, committed to the Seminoles on Tuesday. Green picked the Seminoles over North Carolina, Tennessee and Oregon among others.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Green is the No. 599 overall prospect for 2018, the No. 101 receiver and the 94th best player from the state of Florida. Green is the second receiver to commit to FSU for 2018, joining fellow 3-star D’Marcus Adams.

FSU entered the day with the No. 10 overall class for 2018 and third best in the ACC. The loss of Cook moved FSU back to 14th, which is where it remains following the addition of Green.
