FSU Baseball is No. 1 in D1Baseball Poll

Florida State is coming off a 4-1 week and is now the No. 1 team in the country at least in one poll.

FSU is the new No. 1 in the D1Baseball.com Poll, moving up two spots from No. 3 last week. The Seminoles were helped out by lackluster weeks from previous No. 1 TCU and Florida.

FSU also climbed two spots in the Collegiate Baseball Poll, rising from No. 8 to sixth. In the NCBWA Poll, FSU fell one spot from third to No. 4.

The Seminoles swept a mini 2-game set at UCF before returning home to take two of three from Boston College this past week. In the Baseball America Poll, Florida State remained second behind only ACC foe Louisville.

For the season, FSU is 13-3 and now 2-1 in ACC play. The Seminoles will play five games this week — all on the road. After taking on rival and No. 5 Florida on Tuesday, FSU faces Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday before heading to Blacksburg for a 3-game weekend series against Virginia Tech that starts on Friday.
