As a result of expected showers throughout the day on Sunday, Florida State is going to play its 3-game series with Boston College in two days.

Friday’s contest to open ACC play will go on as scheduled at 6 p.m. EST, but the Saturday slate has been changed to make way for a doubleheader. Originally scheduled for 6 p.m., the Seminoles and Eagles will begin play on Saturday at 1 p.m. After a 45-minute break, the teams will complete the series with a second game.

The rotation for Florida State is not expected to change as a result of the rescheduling. Cole Sands will still get the ball on Friday. Tyler Holton will pitch the first game on Saturday before Drew Parrish concludes the series.

FSU comes in with an 11-2 record and a 9-game winning streak as the series at Dick Howser Stadium gets underway on Friday. Boston College is just 5-6.

FSU beat the Eagles 3-0 in the only meeting between the teams last season in Chestnut Hill. The teams were scheduled to play a 3-game series, but the final two games were canceled by snow.
