It’s too early to do too much celebrating, but for now, Florida State holds the top recruiting class for 2018.

That’s because FSU got a big commitment — literally — on Friday in the form of offensive lineman Christian Meadows. The 6-3, 330-pound monster picked the Seminoles over a handful of other schools.

Meadows, a 4-star from Macon County High School in Georgia, is currently ranked the No. 284 overall player for the class of 2018 and the 25th best player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Recruiting publications have projected Meadows as both a guard and a tackle at the next level.

FSU entered the day with the second-ranked recruiting class for 2018, but leapfrogged Miami for the top spot with the commitment of Meadows.

Meadows becomes the sixth member of FSU’s class of 2018 and the first offensive lineman to sign for any future class. This, after the Seminoles inked seven linemen in 2016. The 2017 class for Florida State is currently ranked 10th nationally, per 247Sports.
