Florida State catcher Cal Raleigh’s outstanding freshman season may have ended on Monday night, but Raleigh continued to bring home the individual accolades.

Prior to the first pitch on Monday, Raleigh was named a first-team Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Raleigh was previously honored as a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and made the ACC’s all-freshman team.

Raleigh finishes his first season in Tallahassee hitting .301 with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs while appearing in all 63 games for the Seminoles. For most of the season, Raleigh hit in the power slots of the FSU order.

Florida State was defeated by Florida on Monday night in the decisive game of the Gainesville Super Regional. FSU finished the season with a record of 41-22.
