FSU Basketball: Noles to Face Minnesota in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Florida State will take on Minnesota in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this upcoming season, according to CBS Sports.

The Golden Gophers are 3-2 all-time against the Seminoles in the challenge. The Gophers bested FSU in overtime during the NIT semifinals during the 2013-14 season — the last between the teams.

Minnesota is coming off a dismal 8-23 finish, but the Golden Gophers did defeat Clemson in last season’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Florida State finished 20-14 last season and reached the second round of the NIT before falling at Valparaiso.

The Seminoles fell to Iowa in overtime, 78-75 in last season’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge. FSU has lost eight straight in the challenge. The last FSU victory came over Minnesota in November 2007.

This will mark the third time in five seasons that the Noles and Gophers will meet in the challenge. The contest will take place on Monday, Nov. 28. No time or network have been set.
