Robbie Berwick Transfers to Colorado State

FSU athletics

Florida State basketball guard Robbie Berwick announced Saturday that he will be transferring to Colorado State.

Berwick, a redshirt sophomore guard, missed all of last season with an injury. As a freshman during the 2014-15 season, Berwick averaged 2.4 points and 1 rebound per game for the Seminoles.

Berwick had decent range, but shot just 30 percent for his career from downtown. Berwick is limited athletically, but was a max-effort player defensively.

What it means: The loss of Berwick doesn’t serve as a huge blow for Florida State. It gives FSU one less option at the guard position, but given that the backcourt includes Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Benji Bell, Dwayne Bacon and incoming freshmen C.J. Walker and Trent Forrest, Berwick’s impact this upcoming season would have likely been minimal.
