3-Star Defensive Back Clifford Chattman De-Commits From FSU

Why did he de-commit? – Chattman was a very new commit that many had not heard of before his announcement a couple of weeks ago. To be frank, it seemed like his commitment to FSU was sort of a hype building trick. He is athletic, but doesn’t have a true position on the defense. It would be very hard for him to contribute at FSU without serious strides.

He instead opted to sign with Texas A&M, who presumably pitched more playing time and a less crowded secondary.

How much does it hurt FSU? – Not much at all. Chattman made the decision that was best for him, and thankfully Florida State did not have a glaring need at what he is projected to be at in college.
