The Daily Nole — Nov. 30, 2017: Man Kicked Off Call-In Show For Questioning Fisher’s Loyalty

Jeff Romance/FSU athletics

It’s Thursday, Florida State fans. That means we’re just two days from FSU’s regular season finale against Louisiana-Monroe in case many of you are unaware. Keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics as we update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

In what most believe will Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher’s final television call-in show, things went smoothly until the end.

About 45 minutes into the hour-long show, one man asked Fisher about loyalty to the program. That man was promptly escorted from the studio and Fisher never answered his question.

Given the recent speculation that Fisher would be leaving FSU to take a job at Texas A&M, it’s no surprise that someone would ask the question. The man being shoved out of the studio might serve as an abrupt ending to an embarrassing saga for an otherwise accomplished FSU coach.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s basketball rallied to beat Iowa in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday night, 94-93.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Thursday.

News and Notes

Jimbo Fisher is expected to be announced as the new head coach of Texas A&M on Thursday.
