Lead Story

Florida State is in the loss column for a third time after falling to Miami on Saturday, 24-20.

With the defeat, the Seminoles fell to 1-3 — their worst start since 1976. That was legendary head coach Bobby Bowden’s first year as the top man at FSU. To make matters worse, FSU is 0-2 at home for the first time since 1974.

Florida State will look to avoid its first 1-4 start since 1975 on Saturday as it visits Duke. After falling to Miami and Virginia, Duke will look to avoid a third straight loss.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s tennis continued All-American Qualifying on Saturday. The FSU men participated in the Bedford Cup in Tallahassee and the All-American Main Draw in Tulsa. FSU men’s swimming and diving team took down Minnesota while the women lost to the Golden Gophers. FSU football lost to Miami at home, 24-20.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis will continue All-American Qualifying while the men continue the All-American Main Draw. FSU soccer will be at Duke in a match that begins at 1 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.

FSU will take on Duke on Saturday at noon EST on ESPN2.

4-star cornerback Houston Griffith committed to FSU on Sunday.
