The Daily Nole — June 27, 2017: ESPN Moving Forward with ACC Network

Lead Story

According to a report from Sports Business Daily, ESPN seems to be moving forward in a strong way with the ACC Network, which is set to launch in August 2019.

According to the report, ESPN has secured agreements with video carriage provides, although which specific ones are unnamed. The rates for cable and satellite providers to carry the ACC Network are expected to be lower than for the SEC and Big Ten Networks.

The ACC’s contract with ESPN currently lasts through 2036. The ACC Network is expected to air more than 450 live sporting events annually, including football and both men’s and women’s basketball.
