Lead Story

Florida State guard Wilson Bell’s recent arrest won’t keep the redshirt junior from participating in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 against Michigan, head coach Jimbo Fisher said Thursday.

Bell was arrested earlier in the week after failing to appear in a recent hit-and-run case. According to a report from 247Sports, Bell failed to leave notice on an unattended car in July and was arrested in early August and due to show up in court in mid-September. He never did.

The charges against Bell are misdemeanors, which according to FSU’s athletic department policy, doesn’t prevent him from practicing or playing whereas a felony would. Bell practiced with the team on Thursday, according to a report.
