After 17 straight scoreless innings, the Florida State bats got going late on Sunday as the Seminoles took the rubber game of a 3-game set from Troy, 4-2.
Trailing 2-0 in the fifth on Sunday, FSU drew even with an RBI single from Nander De Sedas and an RBI double from Matheu Nelson in the inning. The Seminoles went ahead for good an inning later on a solo home run by Davis Hare. FSU added an insurance run on a solo home run from Nelson to lead off the bottom of the eighth.
Nelson, Hare and Logan Lacey each had a pair of hits for FSU in the win. FSU starting pitcher Conor Grady didn’t factor in the decision, but struck out a career-high 13 while allowing just an earned run in five innings.
Rigsby Mosley homered for Troy in the loss. Clay Stearns was 3-for-3 for the Trojans.
With the win, FSU improved to 23-16 — a season-high tying seven games over .500. FSU will visit Notre Dame for a 3-game set, beginning on Friday.

In addition to FSU baseball, FSU softball beat NC State on Sunday, 4-1.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.

FSU women’s tennis will find out who and where it will play for the NCAA Tournament on Monday.
College baseball polls, along with polls for various sports, will be released on Monday.
FSU beach volleyball will be the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Championships. The Seminoles open the championships against Stanford on Friday.
