It was a productive week for Florida State baseball. In addition to head coach Mike Martin getting his 2,000th career win, the Seminoles remained atop one poll, moved into the top 5 in another and the top 10 in one more.

The Seminoles remained atop the Collegiate Baseball after ascending to No. 1 last week. The movement was modest in other polls.

In the Baseball America Poll, FSU rose one spot in the Baseball America Poll from No. 6 to No. 5. The Seminoles had been No. 6 in each prior poll.

For the first time this season, FSU is in D1Baseball.com’s top 10. FSU rounded out the top 10 after sitting at No. 11 last week.

The one poll where FSU fell was the NCBWA Poll. The Seminoles fell a spot from No. 6 to No. 7.

FSU went 3-1 this past week with two wins coming by way of walk-off. After beating North Florida during the week, the Seminoles took two of three from Virginia Tech in a series that was played in just two days.

For the year, FSU is 13-1 and 2-1 in ACC play, but things get tough this week. After visiting Florida on Tuesday, the Seminoles will head to Raleigh to face NC State over three games.

The Gators and Wolfpack are ranked fourth and 21st, respectively, this week in the Baseball America Poll.
