The start of the 2019 football season for Florida State is less than two months away and the Seminoles will be sending a pair of menacing figures to represent them in Charlotte.

Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Tamorrion Terry and junior defensive tackle Marvin Wilson were selected to represent FSU at ACC Kickoff, the conference’s media days. ACC Kickoff takes place on July 17 and 18 at the Westin Charlotte.

Terry led the Seminoles with 744 yards receiving and eight touchdown catches as a redshirt freshman a season ago. With 3.5 last season, Wilson is FSU’s returning leader in sacks. As a sophomore, Wilson recorded 42 total tackles and 4.5 for loss.

It took Mike Martin Jr. less than two weeks to hire a full-time staff (FSU athletics)

Less than two weeks after being named the eighth head coach in program history, Florida State’s Mike Martin Jr. has filled out his coaching staff. After adding San Francisco Giants’ scout Mike Metcalf last week, Martin managed to poach pitching coach Jim Belanger from Kentucky.

Prior to spending three seasons in Lexington, Belanger coached pitchers at Monmouth and Maryland. Belanger coached 22 players selected in the Major League Baseball Draft over the last seven years.

As for Martin, he’ll take over for his father, Mike Martin, Sr., who won more games than any Division I college coach in any sport. The Seminoles have won at least 40 games in 42 straight seasons and are coming off their second College World Series appearance in three years.
