Florida State got back in the win column on Tuesday night with a 77-68 win over Clemson. The Seminoles ended a 3-game losing streak and improved to 14-5 overall and 2-4 against the ACC.

After the extended skid, FSU unsurprisingly fell in the latest set of brackets. Here’s our weekly look:

Projections
ESPN: Midwest Region No. 9 vs. (8) Nebraska in Columbus (Jan. 21)
CBS Sports: Midwest Region No. 6 vs. (11) Virginia Commonwealth/Butler in Tulsa (Jan. 20)
SB Nation: South Region No. 8 vs. (9) Cincinnati in Columbia (Jan. 22)
NBC Sports: South Region No. 5 vs. (12) Lipscomb in Salt Lake City (Jan. 17)

Summary
NBC Sports’ Dave Ommen had Florida State seeded highest as a No. 5 seed, but that projection was before Sunday’s 87-82 loss at Boston College. Ommen has FSU matched up in the South Region with projected Atlantic Sun champion Lipscomb. The teams are 1-1 all-time against one another but haven’t met since 1951.

The most recent set of projections come from SB Nation’s Chris Dobbertean, who has FSU as a No. 8 seed against Cincinnati. Former Metro Athletic Conference foes, FSU holds a 22-16 edge all-time. The Bearcats did beat the Seminoles in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

Both Dobbertean and Ommen have FSU in the South Region while both ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBS’ Jerry Palm have the Seminoles in the Midwest Region. Lunardi has FSU as the lowest seed of any bracketologist as a No. 9 facing eighth-seeded Nebraska in Columbus. The teams are 1-1 all-time against one another with Nebraska winning most recently in the 2014 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Palm pits sixth-seeded FSU against the play-in winner of Virginia Commonwealth and Butler. VCU knocked FSU off in overtime of the 2011 Sweet 16, but lost twice to the Seminoles on neutral courts more recently in 2013 and 2015. Butler is 3-2 all-time against FSU with the most recent win being a 67-64 victory in the Diamond Head Classic in December 2010.

Coming up for FSU is a road contest at Miami on Sunday night. The Hurricanes are nowhere to be found in the bracket projections. No brackets were published following Tuesday’s victory over the Tigers.
