FSU Hoops Stays Put at No. 9 in Polls

An idle week brought no changes to Florida State basketball’s record or national ranking — at least in one poll.

The Seminoles remain No. 9 in this week’s AP Poll. FSU hasn’t played since topping Saint Louis in the Orange Bowl Classic on Dec. 22.

FSU will face Winthrop on Tuesday before opening ACC play on Saturday at No. 4 Virginia. The Seminoles and Cavaliers are among five ACC teams currently ranked in the AP Poll, led by No. 1 Duke.

FSU also remained No. 9 in this week’s USA Today Coaches Poll. Virginia is ranked No. 2 in that poll behind only Duke.
