Florida State’s second victory over a top-20 team in less than a week was enough to impress voters as the Seminoles made a significant climb in the polls.

The AP Poll saw FSU move up four spots from No. 15 to No. 11. That is the highest ranking for the Seminoles since ascending to No. 6 in January 2017.

At 6-1, FSU is coming off an impressive 73-72 win over Purdue in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday night. Trent Forrest hit the game-winner with 5.2 seconds to play to cap a 9-0 run to end the contest.

The 4-spot rise was mirrored in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Seminoles also moved up from 15th to 11th in that poll.

FSU returns to action on Monday night with a home contest against Troy. The Seminoles face Connecticut on Saturday in the Never Forget Tribute Classic on Saturday.
