Report: FSU Football Adds Alabama State to 2019 Slate

Florida State’s 2019 football schedule appears complete.

According to a report from Noles247, the Seminoles have added a home contest with Alabama State to complete the non-conference slate. The contest will be the first meeting between the schools.

A date for the contest is not yet known. The Seminoles open the season on Aug. 31 against Boise State in Jacksonville before hosting Louisiana-Monroe a week later. As customary, FSU wraps up the regular season with Florida — next season in Gainesville.

FSU is coming off its worst season since 1975, finishing 5-7 with the loss to Florida on Saturday. Alabama State, an FCS program out of the SWAC, finished 4-7 this year.
