Mid-Day Kickoff Scheduled for FSU’s Trip to Louisville

Given Florida State and Louisville’s early-season struggles, it comes as no surprise that the teams didn’t get a prime time kickoff for the Sept. 29 contest in the Bluegrass State.

According to a release from the ACC, the Seminoles and Cardinals will kick things off at 3:30 p.m. EST. The contest will air on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

FSU is off to a disappointing start at 1-2 after being trounced by Syracuse over the weekend in the Carrier Dome, 30-7. The Cardinals are 2-1, but were forced to rally on Saturday in the fourth quarter to avoid being upset by Western Kentucky.

Although the contest is far cry from the top-10 match-up two years ago, Louisville will look to become just the second ACC team to beat the Seminoles in three consecutive seasons. The only other program to do so was Clemson from 2005-07 and 2015-17. Louisville won last season’s contest in Tallahassee on a late field goal by Blanton Creque, 31-28.
