FSU’s Tyler Named to Guy Award Watch List

Florida State punter Logan Tyler is on a list with the nation’s best.

Tyler, a junior, was named to the Ray Guy Award watch list on Wednesday. That honor annually goes to the nation’s best punter.

Tyler got off to a slow start last season, but came on strong late. Tyler averaged 43.2 yards per punt. As the kickoff specialist, 40 of his 75 kicks went for touchbacks.

The Ray Guy Award is named after former Southern Mississippi punter Ray Guy and awarded by the Augusta Sports Council. No FSU player has ever won the award.
