FSU’s Alec Eberle Makes Preseason Rimington Watch List

Florida State redshirt senior center Alec Eberle was given a small bit of preseason hype on Friday.

Eberle was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list for a third straight season. That award annually goes to the nation’s best center.

Eberle hasn’t been the most consistent player for the Seminoles, but has been a mainstay in the lineup since midway through 2015. The Virginia native has started 32 straight games for Florida State.

The Rimington Trophy is named for former Nebraska center Dave Rimington and has been given by the Boomer Esiason Foundation each year since 2000. The lone winner from FSU was Bryan Stork during the team’s national championship season of 2013.
