FSU’s Van Eyk Earns Third Freshman All-American Honor

Florida State pitcher C.J. Van Eyk has earned a third Freshman All-American honor.

The latest second-team selection for the right-hander came from Baseball America. Van Eyk previously earned the distinction from D1Baseball.com and NCBWA.

This past season, Van Eyk posted a perfect 7-0 record to go with a 2.86 ERA in 56 2/3 innings. Van Eyk recorded two saves while opponents batted just .208 against him.

Van Eyk also struck out 71 batters in 19 appearances. Six of those were starts.
